Julio Noriega is regional dean of the School of Engineering and Sciences in the Monterrey Institute of Technology. He was general director of Monterrey Tech Campus Cuernavaca, and also Campus Hidalgo. His PhD is in Management of Technological Innovation at the University of Waterloo (UW), Ontario, Canada. Julio spent seven years as a researcher at the Institute for Innovation Research in UW, from 2006 to 2013. He is also ontological senior coach by Newfield Consulting, MI, USA. He completed an MBA from Monterrey Tech and his previous degree was in Computer Systems Engineering in the same institution. He is also candidate to complete the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. Julio is a passionate and committed academic leader on issues of technological innovation, tech-based entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, technology intelligence, technology transfer, organizational strategy, strategic management of technology, and effective communication. Currently, he is also a professor about innovation topics in the industrial engineering department at Monterrey Tech.
